September 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Kannada film industry is facing dry Fridays this season. However, this week will come as a festival bonanza for the audience as three films are releasing this week.

The three releases include ‘Jothegara’, ‘Eno Onthara’ and ‘Nanjangud Nanjunda’. Among these, ‘Jothegara’ has been directed by an outsider from Tamil Nadu called Sigamani. The film’s release was delayed by one year due to financial crisis. Actors Prem Kumar and Ramya are playing the lead roles in this love story. Sujeet Shetty has scored the music, which has lyrics by Kaviraj, Jamakhandi Shivu and Jayanth Kaikini. Ashwini Ramprasad has produced the movie.

The second in the list is ‘Eno Onthara’, which is a remake of 2001 hit Telugu movie ‘Kushi’. The third release is ‘Nanjangud Nanjunda’, which has been also remade from the 1989 Malayalam movie ‘Vadakkunokki Yanthram’. It deals with the inferiority complex of a dark and short husband, who has a beautiful wife. Ravishanker and Hamsini are playing the lead roles in this movie, which has music by Ravichandra. It is being produced by VK Jindal and Subash Coorg and Suresh is the cameraman.

‘Eno Onthara’ has Ganesh and Priyamani in the lead roles. Mussanje Mahesh will be directing the movie for producer Chandrasekhar. PKH Doss is handling the camera and V Harikrishna has composed the songs of the films.

If the audience is not attracted to the old remakes then they can opt for ‘Jothegara’, which has an original subject.
