Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) - Resident Evil: Afterlife is written as well as directed by Paul Anderson. It is an action packed horror film starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller, Kim Coates, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe and Shawn Roberts. It is the fourth movie in a series of film adaptations. It is based loosely on Capcom’s survival horror video game series Resident Evil. It is also the first film in the series to be released in 3D. This film is released this week. The budget of the film is $60 million. Running time of the film is 1 hour 33 minutes. Elements from Resident Evil 5 were incorporated into the film. Resident Evil: Afterlife starts up where the third film ended. Since the events of Resident Evil: Extinction, Alice has been roaming the world searching for any remaining survivors. For the first time Alice comes face to face with her arch-nemesis, Albert Wesker. As she enters the ruined Los Angeles, she falls onto a base of Umbrella, surrounded by zombies. She then teams up with a group of survivors. They had been hiding in Los Angeles since the T-virus outbreak, and helps them to free another group held-up in a prison. Among them Claire’s brother, Chris Redfield was also there. On the other hand, Anderson is back as director (and scriptwriter for the fourth time). Jovovich is looking lovely and beautiful as ever. She is looking none the worse for having lived in a world full of virus-infected, flesh-eating zombies. She had been living there for eight years now, and searching all over for signs of life.

In fact, Afterlife gets off to a nice start, with Alice (Jovovich) making a great entry in her battle. She is often encountered against the Umbrella Corporation. She is seen swishing down a rope behind an army of the firm’s dispensable minions. She is proceeding to destroy all by herself. She is a superhuman, primary protagonist of the film.

Ali Larter plays Claire Redfield. She led a team of survivors who encountered Alice in the previous film. In Afterlife, Claire mysteriously finds herself alone in the woods and suffering from amnesia.

Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield who is Claire’s older brother. He is working with a military organization struggling to help the infected.
