Atlantic Air Show 2010 Available Online

New Jersey (GaeaTimes.com) - The famous Atlantic show will take place on August 25, 2010 in the Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is named “Thunder Over the Boardwalk” and is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am. The show will continue throughout the day and can be seen for free on the beach and Boardwalk of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The annual event is sponsored by Harrah’s Entertainment in the Atlantic City. The rain can turn into a hazard for the show. The show sponsors have hinted that they won’t call off the show be it Rain or Shine. The show date is not a rain date. So far, the cloud ceiling and visibility are within Federal Aviation Administration minimums for flying aircrafts the hopes are high.
There are some special events in The Atlantic Air Show this year as it is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The show first commenced in 1910 in both Atlantic City and Asbury Park. To pay a tribute, Atlantic City Free Public Library and Asbury Park Public Library will organize a new exhibition. The exhibition is called Flying Fearless: Celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of Airshows in New Jersey. The venues for the exhibition will be Atlantic City Historical Museum on Garden Pier, the Atlantic City International Airport and Township of Ocean Historical Museum in Ocean Township, Monmouth County. People can view the exhibition online as well.
Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa will present the Airshow featuring incredible aerobatic maneuvers with U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army Golden Knights. The newest attraction to the show is the appearance of the Brazilian Esquadrilha da Fumaca or “Smoke Squadron”.
The expected crowd at the city is estimated to be about 750,000 people. People travel 100 miles to shore to witness the best annual Airshow.
