LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Star Spanish chef Jose Andres appeared on the latest episode of ‘Top Chef’ on Sunday. The man behind the small plate dining concept in America was one of the guest judges on the show. He was earlier seen on the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’ demonstrating molecular gastronomy techniques to an audience. He is known for his restaurants in Washington DC which he opened with the help of his partner’s company ‘THINKfoodGROUP’.
On Sunday’s episode Jose Andres was commented on the dish served to him in the quickfire round as a nightmare. He was one of the guest judges for the rounds alongside Marcus Samuelson. The Quickfire and Elimination round were based on the opinion on the food of the foreign dignitaries who were representing the country of the cuisine’s origin. In spite of his soft spoken and encouraging behavior towards the contestants, Jose Andres was not seen appreciating the efforts of Alex during the round. Alex served him a dish that not only failed to look aesthetically appealing but also failed to meet the expectation of the judges in terms of taste.
Jose Andres will also be teaching the students of Harvard culinary physics with the help Ferran Adria. He is also the resident culinary expert for MSN Lifestyle. Apart from his restaurants Jose Andres has also become a well known face on television for his show ‘Made in Spain’. He started his career at El Bulli under Ferran Adria. Later he moved to America and carved a niche for himself. His concept of small plate dining has revolutionized dieting concepts all over.
