LONDON (GaeaTimes.com) — It seems Oliver Stone had bitten off more than he can chew! Last Sunday, in an interview with London’s newspapers, Oliver made some controversial comments regarding Holocaust and Jewish control over the media. He even complained,
There’s a major lobby in the United States. They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington.
This raised an avalanche of criticism which forced Oliver to apologize publicly on his behavior.
“In trying to make a broader historical point about the range of atrocities the Germans committed against many people, I made a clumsy association about the Holocaust, for which I am sorry and I regret. And Jews obviously do not control media or any other industry.”
Stone said in a statement issued by his publicist.
The director, who won Oscars for “Platoon” and “Born on the Fourth of July,” said he was not attempting to deny the Holocaust of World War II. He was merely trying to say that Hitler did more damage to the Russians than the Jew community. And all this controversy was raised when Oliver declared that his upcoming film will feature Hitler and Stalin together. Fancy way of introducing a new film we must say!
