NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — With the arrival of Food Network, the entire attention was immediately shifted towards a delicious topping to whirlwind of growth for La Verne-based Sinfully Sweet Apple Co., a 2 year old dessert maker of the country.
The network has featured this caramel apple company on the show “Kid in a Candy Store”, which sends the host, Adam Gertler on a quest for the tastiest and most creative treats in the USA. The company is known for its candy apples, a variety of chocolate pop-corn, chocolate dipped marshmallows, cupcakes on a stick, cheesecake on a stick and pretzels, which are sold at the company’s own store located at 2084 Foothill Blvd.
Neatly displayed behind glass of the store , in tantalizing rows, are no ordinary caramel-dipped apples on a stick.Chocolates dyed in bright shades of pink, yellow and blue used to coat the apples, along with toppings such as peanuts and cookie crumbs and sugar shapes, lend personalities to each creation. The chocolates are flavored, a fact reflected in the apples’ names - Lemon Pie, Grapple (a grape and apple combination), New York Cheesecake and Blue Hawaiian. An Elvis Presley apple pays homage to the legend’s fancy for peanut butter and banana sandwiches.
“We’re taking caramel apples to the next level. We’re making them works of art,” said Martha Henderson, the owner and founder.
