Roshni Chopra Wins “Desi Girl”

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- They have been chasing after hens, milking cows and soaping buffaloes. The fight to be crowned as the first Indian “Desi Girl” saw Roshni Chopra bag the winner’s title from the NDTV Imagine’s reality show. Roshni Chopra who happens to be a small screen actress was the favorite of many audiences who have been watching the show for over a month.

The finale episode of “Desi Girl” on Sunday was hosted by actor - director Rohit Roy who congratulated Roshni Chopra after she emerged as the winner in the show. Roshni Chopra along with other contestants were deployed at the Sialba Majri village near the city of Chandigarh where they tuned into their desi avatar. Each one of them had to perform all tasks which a “Desi Girl” does back at the household.

Roshni Chopra defeated the other finalists Ishita Arun and Kashmera Shah by close margin. She said that these seven weeks has been one of the most challenging days of her life and that she will cherish this experience forever. Roshni Chopra was voted to be the winner by the Sialba Majri villagers along with the audiences who have been watching the reality show. Desi Girl was hosted by Rohit Roy and had a total of eight glamorous contestants that included Kashmera Shah, Sambhavna Seth, Monica Bedi, Rucha Gujarati, Anmol Singh, Aushima Sawhney and Ishitta Arun along with Roshni Chopra herself. The finale episode was pumped up with energetic performances from all contestants who did their best to impress the audience. Stand-up comedian Sunil Grover kept the audiences laughing with his regular jokes.
