“Apartment” movie narrates a thriller tale with Preeti Sengupta (played by Tanushree Dutt) as the protagonist who descends from a small town and grows up to be air hostess. Rohit Roy essays the character of her boyfriend Karan Malhotra. Preeti Sengupta is possessive about Karan Malhotra and doubts his loyalty. Suspicion drives her to kick her boyfriend out of her apartment. She soon realizes that it’s seemingly impossible for her to afford the rent of the apartment alone. At this very juncture Neetu Chandra playing the role of Neha Bhardwaj makes her appearance in the story. She comes up to Preeti and asks her to share her space with her. However, things go wrong soon after this when Preeti comes to realize how deception can be used against someone in fulfilling wicked motives.

The director feels that such an attempt to release “Apartment movie” both in the theaters and on the web will encourage viewership and will lessen the chances of piracy which is a big threat to any new movie releases as pirated copies of the movie is sold out in open markets. The director said that he feels it’s a wise move for “Apartment” movie against all threats of piracy as people get to watch the movie without having to visit the theaters.
