NEW DELHI - Age is no bar for learning and this is what Fashion Design Council of India(FDCI) president Sunil Sethi believes in. He is currently in Boston for an advanced leadership course from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT).

Sethi, who is a graduate from Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) says it has been 34 years since he left college and now at 55, life seems to have completed a full circle.

“Ït is an odd feeling to go back to school as a student but this also proves one thing that one can always keep learning, no matter what your age is. This has come as a full circle for me,” Sethi told IANS over the phone from Boston.

Apart from being the president of FDCI, Sethi is also senior vice president of the trading group Li And Fung that is headquartered in Hong Kong. He takes care of some of their divisions in India.

The MNC has sponsored Sethi for this entire trip.

“Well, I am that at this stage of life, I am getting a full-paid scholarship. I am sure they must have considered something in my work that resulted in giving me this opportunity,” said Sethi.

While Sethi has a hectic work schedule back home as well, he can’t stay away from the capital for a long time. Hence he has decided to split the course into various capsules and looking at the time-table, he would visit the campus again to finish the course.

“Right now, I am here for seven more days. As I have to be there in the city for the inaugural Delhi Couture Week at the end of July, I can’t complete the course in one stretch,” said Sethi.
