KATHMANDU, NEPAL (GaeaTimes.com)- Noted Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala tied the knot after years of speculation and industry gossips. She got married to Samrat Dahal, a Nepalese businessman and the wedding was a private event attended by close aides and family. It has been reported that three days would be required to complete the rituals of the wedding. The venue was a forest resort near Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. The grand wedding celebrations started off Friday and will come to an end on Sunday. Manisha Koirala belongs to a well known and influential Nepalese political family who rose to stardom in Bollywood in the 1990s.

Manisha Koirala had earlier relations with some other men and the media speculated she will tie not earlier. Apart from acting in Nepalese and Hindi film actress Manisha Koirala was named the UN goodwill ambassador owing to her effort to put a stop to women trafficking. Earlier she had a relation with Crispin Conroy an Australian ambassador to Nepal. She also got involved with Christopher Dorris, an US based author and speaker. However, that relation too did not materialize. Her grandfather was the PM of Nepal in the 1950s and the political lineage of her family is well known.

Manisha Koirala who got married yesterday has acted in a number of commercially successful and critically acclaimed films in Bollywood. She also won accolades for her award winning performance in a Bengali film named ‘Khela’, directed by Rituparno Ghosh. She is now involved in film production in Nepal and does not seem interested to do film in India that much.
