MELBOURNE - Legendary Dame Helen Mirren has blasted British Petroleum over the oil spill.
The actress told talk show host David Letterman that, “in my mind… (BP) stands for bloody p***-poor.”
Appearing on US television, the 64-year-old star also admitted that she was ’so relieved’ that England drew against Team USA in World Cup soccer, adding that “if Britain had beaten America, what with BP… I don’t think I could have come on this show,” reports News.com.au.
“I would have been so embarrassed and mortified at being British, I think I’d have had to cancel,” she said. (ANI)
