RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Country singer Jimmy Dean, who is best known for his 1961 hit track “Big Bad John” passed away on Sunday at the age of 81. According to reports that have surfaced, the musical artist and businessman breathed his last at his Henrico County, Virginia home in the presence of his wife, Donna Meade Dean. It has been reported that Jimmy Dean was doing pretty well in the last few days of his life despite the fact that he had been encountering certain health problems. His wife, Donna Meade Dean has stated that the country musical artist’s death even left her shocked as he was not suffering from any significant health ailments lately.
R.J. Clark, an officer of the Henrico County Police department has revealed that Jimmy Dean passed away on Sunday due to natural causes. The singer’s wife further divulged that Jimmy Dean was pronounced dead at around 7:54 p.m. on Sunday after he suddenly became unresponsive while eating in front of the television at his home. The demise of the noted singer who also gained fame for his sausage brand, has not only left his wife shocked but also his fans who are still grappling with the news of his death.
Jimmy Dean shot to fame with his song “Big Bad John” which became a runway hit when it was released in the year 1961. Later he also ventured into television with the ABC program “The Jimmy Dean Show” which also became hugely popular. After a successful career as a musical artist and a television personality, Jimmy Dean established his own sausage brand along with his brother.
