Buffett Won’t Delay Florida Hotel Opening Over Oil Slick

Easy listening superstar JIMMY BUFFETT is refusing to delay the grand opening of his Florida beach hotel, despite calls to stall the event until after the massive oil spill, which has devastated America’s Gulf Coast, is cleared up.
The Cheeseburger in Paradise hitmaker is eager to open the $50 million (£33.3 million) Margaritaville Hotel, which sits on Pensacola Beach - one of the areas affected by the oil slick, which was triggered when a British Petroleum (BP) rig collapsed in April (10).
It has been branded the worst environmental disasters in American history, and so far there’s no end in sight.
But Buffett insists he will be moving forward with the event later this month (Jun10), because it will help “people forget their troubles for a couple of hours”.
