LOS ANGELES (Gaeatimes.com)- The latest episode of the investigation series on CBS, “48 Hours Mystery,” aired the tale of Stephanie Lazarus. Only recently, Stephanie Lazarus has been accused of committing a murder that had taken place way back in the year 1986. She has been accused of murdering Sherri Rae Rasmussen. Stephanie Lazarus has finally been accused of committing the murder after 23 years of the committing the crime, an unnaturally long time that can be explained if only one takes a look at her profession. She was a police officer with the Los Angeles police department, thus, it can be understood why the police refused to pay heed when Nels Rasmussen, the victim’s father, suggested her name continually.
Nels Rasmussen revealed in the in the interview that he kept asking the police to take into account Stephanie Lazarus, but they simply refused to comply and investigate one of their own people, finally forbidding him to bring up the topic again. However, Nels Rasmussen stuck to his story, insisting that for a few days before her death, Sherri Rae Rasmussen had been complaining to her family and friends that Stephanie Lazarus, who was the former girlfriend of her husband, was stalking her.
Therefore, the surprise of the police department can be well imagined when they finally nailed on the culprit behind the murder of Sherri Rae Rasmussen, and it was none other than Stephanie Lazarus. Although Nels Rasmussen and his family are happy that the murderer of Sherri Rae Rasmussen has finally been accused, they cannot help but feel that it could have been achieved a long time back, had the investigation not been rather careless and irresponsible.

I was unimpressed by this 48 Hours. A lot of soppy still photos with toughy feely. There’s one fact that stands out: There was one piece of evidence, DNA, and that evidence is tainted. The envelope had been missing for years. was unsealed when it was found with the sample poking out of the envelope, clear evidence of evidence tampering. |
