LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — American Idol is just a few steps away from the much-awaited grand finale. Yesterday episode would be considered as one of the remarkable one in the history of American Idol since it got huge response from its viewers. Almost 37 million votes came in last night.

Wanna know who got kicked off American Idol on May 12, 2010? Well, it was none other than Michael Lynche aka Big Mike. After judges failed to come to an anonymous decision, the responsibility was left upon the Americans. It was their votes that decided the fate of Big Mike.

“Will you be there” from the movie Free Willy was the song performed by Big Mike last night. Though he had seen the edge of elimination a few weeks ago and was saved, yesterday he was left with no other option but to make his way home.

With Michael Lynche being eliminated last night, American Idol got its top 3 finalists. They are Casey James, Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox.
