MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The year 2010 has not been particularly good for Bollywood so far, with a number of much awaited and big budget films biting the dust at the box office. However, a lot of viewers are expecting the upcoming Prakash Jha film ‘Rajneeti‘ to change the trend. This hard hitting film with a strong political theme has some of the most noted actors of Bollywood. Katrina Kaif, who is among the top actresses of Bollywood will be seen in a decidedly de-glamorized role in the film and she will be pitted against powerhouse performers like Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar. The film also has Bollywood’s latest heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor in a pivotal role. This movie will be a turning point for Katrina Kaif whose detractors have often criticized about her lack of acting skills and unimpressive Hindi accent.

The promos of the film ‘Rajneeti’ are now being aired in various channels and the new look of Katrina Kaif is pretty interesting. It is a far cry from her sizzling onscreen avatars as seen in films like ‘Race’ and ‘Namaste London’. She revealed in a recent interview that for doing justice to the role she observed Priyanka Vadra, the daughter of Sonia Gandhi closely. She said that it helped her to get the required body language that a female politician requires to adopt.

‘Rajneeti’ will also bring Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar together again in a Prakash Jha film. They acted in the director’s ‘Apaharan’ earlier. Katrina Kaif has denied the rumor that her character in the film is based on Sonia Gandhi.
