MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)-Mahesh Manjrekar whose new movie “City Of Gold” hits the theatres on Friday told the media in a promotion that after “Vaastav” this is one movie which makes him feel blessed. The director also said that he has nothing to do with the box office reports because he feels that City Of Gold is his grand accomplishment. Reportedly, Mahesh Manjrekar’s new movie City Of Gold has received wide appreciation for a sharp portrayal of the storyline and the gripping plot which makes this movie stand out a little different from the mainstream movies which are frequently witnessed in Bollywood.
“City Of Gold” is set against the backdrop of Mumbai Mill workers who have witnessed the seamier side of life but haven’t got the support of anyone to help them out in their times of distress. The film traces the story of the Mumbai Mill workers who strangely disappeared after the huge strike of 80’s. No one had a clue about their existence. It is through City Of Gold that people would come to know how these poor workers slowly gets involved into big time criminal activities which alters the course of their life.
