MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- One of the finest actresses of Bollywood, Tabu is once again pairing up with director Mahesh Manjrekar who will be casting her in his upcoming venture called “White”. The upcoming film will be centered on a female protagonist that will be played by Tabu.

It’s been ten years since the director and his favorite actress has done a film together. The last time when Tabu acted in a Mahesh Manjrekar movie was “Astitva”. The movie happens to be one of the boldest movies by the director that had Tabu in one of the greatest roles in her acting career. “White” traces the story of Tabu essaying the role of a middleclass house wife who goes ahead and takes up a strong hand for the assertion of her sexual identity which takes it on higher plateau than “Astitva”. Tabu as the housewife leaves behind the pangs of her dissatisfied marital life and goes far ahead to have a sensual affair with another man who is younger then her age. When asked about her role in the movie Tabu replied that this is indeed one of the most challenging roles of her acting career which takes on a deep insight into a woman’s dreams and aspirations and her sexual desires grounded by male chauvinism.

The director told the media that Tabu felt nervous after she heard the script but Mahesh Majrekar was keen to do the movie with Tabu and no one else. He said that the character of the woman in the movie was crafted keeping in mind Tabu only as he felt that she is the only one who could do justice to the role.
