The hit starred upcoming superstar Prithviraj and was directed by Deepan and sees Priyamani, Bala and Meera Nandan in important roles.

The film shows a young Brahmin youth Krihnakumar alias Kichan played by Prithviraj. He is romantically involved with Sreedevi (Meera) who is the daughter of his father’s best friend. He teaches mridungam to kids and lives in a simple village in Kalpathi.

The story moves ahead as Kichan soon joins an engineering college in Kochi and impresses everyone on the very first day with his dynamic personality and sensible talk. He further gains everybody’s admiration on the Fresher’s Talent Search Day by displaying his skills at using different kinds of Percussion instruments. He also finds a friend in Anjana who is thoroughly impressed by his performance.

But the story takes a dark urn with the entry of Sudhi, who is a senior student in the college and wishes to marry Anjana.
