LONDON - Jade Goody’s mother was joined by family and friends for a special memorial service to mark the first anniversary of the star’s death.

Jackiey Budden, 52, was spotted in tears at the congregation in London that also saw the presence of Jade’s widower Jack Tweed and Jade’s bridesmaid Jennifer Smith amongst others.

“It’s been a year since Jade died and we all still miss her every day,” The Mirror quoted Jennifer as saying.

The Rev Stuart Hartley, from Jade’s old school, St James’s in Bermondsey, also said: “She made the best of her circumstances and that has inspired people to do the same. She was courageous and helped others. People were proud of her and miss her loveliness and bubbliness.”

Jade’s grandfather John Caddock, 71, added: “It was a beautiful ceremony. It brought back all the memories of Jade and what happened a year ago.”

The Big Brother celebrity died aged 27 from cervical cancer on Mother’s Day last year. (ANI)
