Legion a.k.a. Garuda Yuddham

Mumbai 5 2010, (Sampurn Wire):Buoyed by the success of ‘Terminator Salvation’, Sony Pictures is all set to re-release ‘Legion’ in Tamil, titled ‘Garuda Yuddham’, on March 19, with more than 200 prints. The English version was released on January 22 this year. The movie will be dubbed in other regional languages besides Tamil.
Directed by Scott Stewart and written by Peter Schink and Scott Stewart, the film is loosely based on a chapter in ‘Revelation’, the last book of ‘The Holy Bible’. A pregnant woman in the desert is threatened by Satan and his demons. God therefore sends his angels to bring on an Apocalypse. Archangel Michael is in charge of this team, and they need to protect a group of strangers, including the pregnant woman, whose child is going to be the saviour of humanity.
Paul Bettany, who shot to fame with his performance in ‘A Beautiful Mind’ and, more recently, ‘The Da Vinci Code’, plays the role of Archangel Michael. He is ably supported by a stellar cast that includes Dennis Quaid, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson, Charles S Dutton, and Jon Tenney, amongst others.
John Frizzell of ‘White Out’ fame has scored the music for the movie, while John Lindley has wielded the camera. Steven Kemper, who is known for his mind-boggling techniques in ‘Mission Impossible 2’, is the editor of this fantasy-thriller. The duration of the movie is 104 minutes.
