Angaadi Theru to see the light of day

March 5 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director Vasantha Balan can breathe a long sigh of relief. The producers of his film, ‘Angaadi Theru’, have decided on a release date– March 26. This much-awaited announcement could not have come at a better time. The song ‘Aval Appadi Ondrum Azhagillai’, which literally translates as ‘She isn’t so beautiful, but there’s nothing better than her beauty in this world’, has already topped the charts. Na Muthukumar, who has penned the lyrics, has said that it is his best song ever, and remains close to his heart. The music directors are G. V. Prakash and Vijay Anthony.

‘Angaadi Theru’ has been produced by Ayngaran International, the organisation that had earlier churned out films such as Ajith Kumar’s ‘Aegan’, Vijay’s ‘Villu’, and the Jeyam Ravi starrer, ‘Peranmai’. The lead pair comprises Akil, who had made his debut with Balaji Sakthivel’s ‘Kalloori’, and Anjali, of ‘Kattradhu Tamizh’ fame.
