Mexican pop diva Gloria Trevi marries attorney
MONTERREY, Mexico — Pop diva Gloria Trevi has married a lawyer in a cathedral ceremony in her northern Mexican hometown.
Trevi and attorney Armando Gomez exchanged vows Thursday in the Monterrey cathedral, which was decked with blue-and-white flowers and filled with other Mexican stars.
Journalists watched the ceremony live from the nearby modern art museum, where the reception was to be held.
The smiling, tearful bride wore a white silk gown and a veil held in place by a crown.
The 41-year-old Trevi was arrested in 2000 along with her manager and a backup singer and accused of luring young girls into their entourage and sexually abusing them.
Trevi spent almost five years in prison before she was acquitted.
