Brian Bonsall due in court for alleged assault
BOULDER, Colo. — A former cast member of the 1980s television show “Family Ties” is due in court in Boulder, Colo., on Wednesday.
Twenty-eight-year-old Brian Bonsall was arrested after he allegedly got into a fight at an apartment Saturday and hit a friend with part of a broken wooden stool.
Police say Bonsall told officers he had been drinking and didn’t remember what happened.
Bonsall played the role of the youngest Keaton sibling, Andy, on the NBC sitcom starring Michael J. Fox.
Authorities say Bonsall was sentenced to probation in 2007 for assaulting his girlfriend. He was later accused of probation violations.
The former child actor lives in Westminster, Colo., about 20 miles south of Boulder.
