KOCHI - Vincenzo Bocciarelli, a popular Italian actor will feature in a Malayalam film that is going to hit the theaters soon.

Bocciarelli will be portraying the role of a painter in this movie titled ‘Nirakazhcha’ (In Love with Kerala). ‘Nirakazhcha is an English-Malayalam bilingual film.

In this flick, Bocciarelli will star opposite Malayalam actor Mamta Mohandas, who will be playing the love interest of the Italian actor.

The film, directed by debutant director Aneesh J Karinad relates the love story between a painter from Italy and a great admirer of renowned Indian paintings Raja Ravi Varma, and a model, played by Mohandas.

The screenplay has been written by Italian-based Daisy Chacko and will be jointly produced by Global Movie Makers and Tourism Movie Makers.

At present, the shooting of the film is in progress at Thiruvananthapuram and will be shot in other exotic places of Kerala.

“Everything is difficult but everything is become more easy (easier) when there is patience when we love our wonderful work. Here I find everything easier, everything because I have very good director and very good actor with me like Mamta Mohandas and Manoj, very good and they help me to feel very relax and I discovered a new mode to do cinema, very interesting because unfortunately in Italy we do not have the cinema like you have with colours, with personality and poetry. It’s very interesting,” said Vincenzo Bocciarelli.

“When we think of a foreign actor, we will be taking a foreigner who lives in Kerala and we will be converting him into an actor but when I am making a film, I do not want to experience (such trials). I do not want to take risk. So I need basically a hero, a film star, a film actor who is already established in Italy as an actor and we have our partner and promoter Dr. Daisy Chacko, who is also a partner of our film and she helped us to find Lorenzo Fabruo (Vincenzo Bocciarelli) as our hero,” said Aneesh J Karinad.

‘Nirakazhcha’ will be dubbed in other languages such as Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu and also in Spanish, Russian, German, Italian, and Arabic.

The film will be released in April next year. (ANI)
