Simple Kapadia, Dimple Kapadia’s Sister Died From Cancer

Mumbai- Simple Kapadia, younger sister of Bollywood Actress Dimple Kapadia has died in a local hospital in Andheri, Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon. The costume designer & actress was suffering from cancer for 3 years. She was 50 years old.

Simple suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken by her elder sister Dimple to the hospital where she breathed her last breath in the afternoon, as told by family friends.

Dimple had been taking care of her ailing sister for last 3 years at her home. She even refused to take up work during this period.

Simple Kapadia was Born on August 15, 1958. She made her acting debut in 1977 with Anurodh, where she was paired opposite her brother-in-law Rajesh Khanna. Later she acted in many hindi films like Hum Rahe Na Hum, Dulha Bikta Hai, Naseeb, Shakka, Lootmaar, Man Pasand, Ahsaas, Rehguzar, Chakravuyha and Pyar Ke Do Pal, Tumhare Bina, Jeevan Dhaara, Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai. She quit acting in 1986.

After a gap of nearly 10 years, Simple returned to Bollywood as a dress designer for Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia. She even won the National Award for costume design for the film Rudaali in 1994.
