Singer/songwriter NEKO CASE’s MIDDLE CYCLONE has been named Album of the Year in the first major list of 2009 must-haves.

Case’s acclaimed album tops Amazon.com’s Top 100 Albums of 2009 poll, which was released on Thursday (05Nov09), ahead of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ It’s Blitz! and Phoenix’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.

Meanwhile, U2’s No Line on the Horizon tops the Customer Favorites list and Phoenix’s Lisztomania is named Amazon’s Top Song of 2009. The Black Eyed Peas’ Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling, which spent a combined six months at the top of the U.S. charts this year, score the one and two spots, respectively, on the bestsellers list.
