Rejected ‘X-Factor’ contestant attacked Leona Lewis

WASHINGTON - Leona Lewis was attacked by a man who was rejected at the audition of talent show X-Factor 2006, which the singer had won, it has emerged.

Twenty-nine-year-old Peter Kowalczyk had allegedly punched the ‘Bleeding Love’ hitmaker in the face at a booksigning event in London.

Now, his father Tomasz has revealed that he had appeared for auditions in London in 2006 and was jealous to see the beauty ultimately win the show.

“He wants to be a singer. He went along and queued at (The) X Factor. How far he got with it? Nowhere.” Contactmusic quoted him as telling British newspaper The Sun.

Kowalczyk is currently being examined in a psychiatric hospital.

He has been charged with assault and has to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 26 October. (ANI)
