Pa. judge drops charges against wrestler Angle
MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. — A judge has cleared professional wrestler and Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle of charges he violated a protection order and illegally possessed human growth hormone.
Police in suburban Pittsburgh stopped Angle last month after he allegedly violated the protection order his then girlfriend, Trenesha Biggers, had gotten after they fought. Police said they found vials of human growth hormone in Angle’s car.
The 40-year-old star of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling said he had a prescription for the HGH to treat neck injuries.
The judge on Tuesday also dismissed charges that Angle was driving with a suspended license.
Biggers — also a wrestler who goes by the stage name Rhaka Khan — did not comment outside court. Angle said he will be more careful about who he associates with in the future.
