Juanes still pressing on for Cuba concert

NEW YORK — Juanes (WAH’-nez) is sorry for the outrage surrounding his upcoming peace concert in Cuba, but says his intentions are truly genuine.

The Colombian singer has gotten criticism and even death threats for his plans to stage his “Peace Without Borders” concert in Havana on Sept. 20.

In an interview Friday night, he says he deeply regrets causing this “bad moment.” But he says he can only control what is in his heart, not the controversy.
