genelia-dsouzaMUMBAI - Genelia DSouza surprised her choreographer on the sets of “Life Partner” when she requested him to include the signature step of the song “Pappu cant dance” from “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na” in the song “Teri meri ye zindagi”.

Everyone constantly keeps telling Genelia how popular the song had become and that she grooved so well in the song. So while shooting for this song, Genelia requested choreographer Bosco Caeser if they could include the step. They were taken aback, but understood that it was a sentimental thing and let Fardeen Khan and her use the step, said a source close to the film.

Talking about the song situation, director Rumi Jaffery said: ‘Teri meri ye zindagi’ is the romantic song picturised on Genelia Dsouza and Fardeen Khan in the film newly married and are on their honeymoon.

“Life Partner” also stars Prachi Desai and Tushar Kapoor and is scheduled for an Aug 14 release.

Mika churns out Tamil bhangra for ‘Quickgun Murugan’

After elder brother Daler Mehndi crooned for Rajnikant, singer Mika mixes Punjabi bhangra and Tamil music together for the promotional video of English film “Quickgun Murugan”.

Mika has especially created the music for the film and calls it Tamil bhangra. Instead of regular Punjabi words, he will be heard mouthing idli, appam, and sambhar tuned with the robust Bhangra beats.

Yes, it is true that for the first time we are trying something like this. When we finished recording the song, we couldnt believe how funky it was sounding. It has turned out to be a catchy sound. And when it will hit the radio channels and pubs, it will become the new cool song. Best part of the song is that the south Indian cowboy would be grooving with me in the video. So even our dance is a mix of both, said Mika.

Starring Rajendra Prasad, “Quickgun Murugan” is about a superhero. It is being produced by Fox Star Studios that distributed the Oscar winning movie “Slumdog Millionaire” and will hit the screens Aug 28.

Every evening after pack up, she would nurse her wounds. After they finished shooting, Priyanka promised herself that she would never go back to the jungle.

When Varma decided to shoot the two promotional songs with her in the jungle, she didnt want to go back. She managed to convince him to shoot at a beach in Sri Lanka.
