LONDON - Hollywood funnyman Ashton Kutcher is recovering from a ruptured eardrum after he was hospitalised in the Bahamas earlier this month while shooting for his new movie “Five Killers”.
The actor was filming scenes for the action comedy in Nassau with co-star Katherine Heigl when he complained of a severe headache. He took a break from shooting but worried crewmembers admitted him to a nearby medical centre when they noticed he had a bloody ear, reports imdb.com.
Doctors diagnosed the problem and treated Kutcher as his wife Demi Moore dashed to his bedside but she was relieved to find he was back to his comedic self by the time she arrived, joking around with medical staff and film assistants.
“When Ashton saw Demi, he said cheerfully, ‘Hi, honey! I’m fine. Come join the party’,” said a source.
Medics gave the former “That ’70s Show” star the all-clear and he was allowed to fly to Georgia to finish working on “Five Killers”, as Kutcher refused to let his injury hold up production on the movie.
“Ashton was a trouper. He didn’t even miss a day of filming,” said the source.
