CHENNAI - After shooting for more than 10 days, Tamil actress Trisha has opted out of Dhanush starrer “Aadukalam” to work in Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s home production.

Trisha was playing an anglo Indian girl in the film to be directed by Vetrimaran.

Apart from “Aadukalam”, she also plans to quit a Telugu film in which she was paired with Balakrishna. The actress was said to have informed both — Balakrishna and Dhanush — about her decision. She has also promised the producers that she will return the advance money.

Trisha is doing so to accommodate dates for Hindi film offers, which might prove to be her passport to stardom in Bollywood.

According to the sources, Tamannaah or Ileana may replace Trisha in “Aadukalam”. Since it’s the role of an Anglo-Indian girl, it’s more likely that Tamannaah with her fair complexion would get the final nod.

Don’t bring your dad on sets, Bollywood heroes tell Asin

Asin Thottumkal became a household name after the success of the Hindi film “Ghajini”. The actress, who is presently working for “London Dreams” with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, has stopped bringing her father on the sets after her Bollywood co-stars requested her not to do so.

Earlier, Asin used to be accompanied by her father on movie sets. But nowadays she comes alone.

According to sources, her Bollywood co-stars have asked her not to bring her father to shooting locations and the actress has obliged them.

Meanwhile Asin’s “19 Steps” with Kamal Haasan, has been stalled.

Kamal, who was to play a significant role in the film, reportedly suggested some major changes to producer Bharatbala vis–vis the script and the latter didn’t take it kindly. As a result Kamal backed out of the film, forcing the movie’s abandonment for the time being.
