WASHINGTON - Gossip Girl star Blake Lively has said that she wants to college but is scared her commitment to acting will stop her from fulfilling her ambition.
She has also revealed that she never wanted to enter the showbiz since her entire family was a part of it, instead she wanted to study at America’s Stanford institution, Contactmusic reports.
She said: “(Becoming an actress) was the last thing I wanted to do. Because it was like the family business. It didn’t seem like this grand, wonderful Hollywood thing - it was just what my family did. So I worked my whole life to go to Stanford.”
However, the actress who was persuaded by elder brother Eric to join acting, seems to have to come to terms with it.
She added: “But it (her career) hasn’t died down since the first season (of Gossip Girl). It’s just got busier and crazier. And we shoot nine months out of the year. You don’t have much time to yourself so there are lots of things I can’t do.
“I wouldn’t try to study anything to pursue a different profession. I would just want to become more educated.” (ANI)
