Mandy Moore’s chef dreams peter out

LONDON - Newlywed Mandy Moore says her hopes of becoming a great chef seems a far cry because her husband Ryan Adams is an expert cook and she can’t compete with him.
The pop star-actress vowed to be a better cook after marrying the rocker in March last year but has discovered it’s far too easy to let him do all the work in the kitchen.
“The lessons are still ongoing… I’m lucky because I don’t have to do the cooking at home. My other half is a very good cook. But I can make a mean grilled cheese sandwich,” contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.
Moore admits cooking isn’t the only thing she has bailed out on since she wed - piano and guitar lessons Adams was giving her have also petered out.
“That’s not really happening now. I’ve moved onto the bass. It’s been a lot of fun for me to kinda jam at home on that and to have someone there perhaps if I need a little guidance. I play a little piano and a little guitar that help me plonk out a melody, but I would like to get to a point where I could play on the stage one day but I think I’ve still got my work cut out for me.
“I’m a procrastinator. I tend to jump in and out. In fact, I need to be more diligent. I need to move my little amp and my bass upstairs to my bedroom, so that 20 minutes before I go to bed, I can practice every night. I need to be more disciplined,” she added.
