WASHINGTON - Paul Newman’s widow Joanne Woodward will play host in a star-studded gala for the kids camp charity founded by the legendary actor.

Newman, who lost his fight to cancer last September aged 83, created the Hole in the Wall Camps children and their families coping with cancer and other serious illnesses and conditions.

And his wife, who is determined to continue the cause, will host the event at New York’s Lincoln Center on June 8 in memory of late husband and the 20-year-old camps.

Celebrities, including Julia Roberts, Harry Connick Jr., Art Garfunkel and Newman’s longtime pal Robert Redford, will donate their performance fee to the charity.

“All expenses of the event have been underwritten, allowing 100 per cent of tickets to go to the Hole in the Wall Camps Foundation,” Contactmusic quoted a spokesman for the event as saying. (ANI)
