‘Homeless man with Golden Voice’ Ted Williams ditches rehab

NEW YORK - Ted Williams, the homeless man with the ‘golden voice’, has abruptly left a rehabilitation facility against the advice of his doctors.
TMZ reports that Williams, who voluntarily sought treatment for drug and alcohol dependency less than two weeks ago, checked out of the Origins Recovery Center in South Texas on Monday.
He made the decision to seek help for his addictions following an appearance on a therapy talk show ‘Dr. Phil’ earlier this month and an altercation with his daughter, reports the New York Daily News.
Williams became an overnight YouTube sensation after an Ohio reporter filmed him along a roadside waving a handwritten sign to advertise his vocal gifts in the hopes of scoring a job in radio or TV broadcast.
His girlfriend is still staying at a rehab centre. (ANI)
