Hilary Swank surprised by success

LONDON - Actress Hilary Swank is surprised by the fame she has got and says she finds it odd to think that she is a Hollywood star.

The Oscar winner said she couldn’t believe herself when she was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007.

“I remember going to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and seeing everyone’s names and the Hollywood sign. To later get my name on the Walk of Fame was a big moment. Really moving,” contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.

The actress is grateful to her mother Judy for her successful career.

She said: “Mom called up an agency, which is really rare, and she just said, ‘My daughter’s really beautiful and talented, you should meet her.’ I went and read for a McDonald’s commercial, they signed me up and I was with them for five years.”
