Comedy sketch poking fun at middle class students tops YouTube charts

LONDON - A spoof of British upper-middle-class public school student gap year has been named as one of the online hits of 2010 according to the annual YouTube list of most popular videos.
‘Gap Yah’, which showed Orlando calling his friend Tarquin about his life-enhancing trip around the world, was named top UK comedy video of 2010.
As Orlando describes several of his experiences in Peru, Tanzania and Burma each story results in him vomiting-or “chundering”-everywhere.
The video, which was created by theatre group The Unexpected Items, spawned a musical remix and T-shirts, with ‘gap yah’ becoming an instant catchphrase.
“It’s a satire on the great number of people who seem to be leaving these shores to vomit all over the developing world,” the Daily Mail quoted Matt Lacey, the actor that played Orlando, as saying. (ANI)
