Rihanna tops ‘Most Active Music Artists On Social Media Websites’ list

SYDNEY - Rihanna has landed the top spot on a new list of the most active music artists on social media websites.

Justin Bieber and Eminem are ranked second and third, while Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj round out the top five.

Billboard magazine, which is most famous for its charts of top-selling singles and albums in the US, compiled the inaugural chart, the Social 50, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

The magazine used the number of weekly additions or substractions in followers, as well as page views and song plays on artist pages on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, iLike and YouTube to generate the top 50 list.

It now plans to make the chart a regular feature.
