MELBOURNE - Australian R and B singer Jessica Mauboy has revealed that she was left disappointed after watching Katy Perry’s performance.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Jessica said that she was cautious of US producers’ love of Auto-Tune.

“It sounds great on other people but doesn’t work for me. Using Auto-Tune on recorded songs makes it harder to perform live,” News.com.au quoted her as saying.

“I just went and saw Katy Perry and maybe she’d been touring a lot and had lost her voice a little bit but I saw her having a difficult time singing her own songs. I get quite disappointed when I see an artist fall a little short,” Mauboy added.

The former Australian Idol finalist made the comments while in Brisbane spruiking her new album ‘Get Em Girls’, which she wrote and recorded in the US with rap stars Snoop Dogg and Ludacris. (ANI)
