Kris Smith denies getting engaged to Dannii Minogue

MELBOURNE - Kris Smith has denied reports that he and girlfriend Dannii Minogue have got engaged after he supposedly popped the question on a long distance call.

UK newspaper The Daily Mail reported that the 32-year-old British model phoned Minogue, 39, in London while he was working in Australia to ask for her hand in marriage.

But Smith took to his Twitter account to deny the reports.

“Sorry guys but reports are incorrect we have not got engaged especially not over the phone…..” the Daily Telegraph quoted him as writing.

Smith and Minogue have a four-month-old son, Ethan, and have been together for two years.

The Daily Telegraph quoted a source who stated, “They had an emotional phone call and Kris told her he really wants Dannii to be his wife and Dannii burst into tears of joy.”

The report said the couple planned to marry in Melbourne and that Minogue had already started designing her engagement ring, which she hoped to show off at next month’s X Factor UK final. (ANI)
