LOS ANGELES, (GaeaTimes.com)- “House” has been getting a bit dull and monotonous as most of its female characters have been leaving the show. Therefore with the introduction of Amber Tamblyn as doctor Martha Masters, the show is all set to get back its lost glamor.
Amber Tamblyn was initially quite skeptical about doing this show, when its creator David Shore offered her the role. She thought that would be boring to play the role of a doctor, as she has no interest or clue about it. She declined the offer when it first came to her. However, when she told it to some of her friends, they told her about the popularity and fan following of the show which she was quite unaware of. She then decided to sign the show. The role of Martha Masters is quite similar to that of a real life friend of Amber Tamblyn. Her friend is also a young doctor. However, the TV character is just an extreme version of her friend, said Amber Tamblyn. Therefore, she reportedly takes a lot of inspiration from her friend to portray Martha Masters, who is a third year medical student, recently incorporated in Cuddy’s team, as he felt the need of a female doctor with them. She describes her character as “intellectually brilliant and socially awkward.” However, she is now comfortable with the show and thankful to every one for giving her this opportunity.
Amber Tamblyn basically does nothing to know about the medical terms. All she does is go through the script and look up when she comes across a difficult term, which is almost 90% of the total script. After the shooting of the first episode was complete, she was so excited that she thought that she actually help her friend, is they ever fall sick.
