WASHINGTON - Charlie Sheen’s estranged wife Brooke Mueller has said that she felt ‘betrayed’ by the actor’s sudden decision to file for divorce.
The couple reportedly signed a property agreement in May, but decided to wait a year before officially filing for divorce because Mueller ‘didn’t want to make trouble for Sheen’, according to her lawyer Sorrell Trope.
“Charlie humiliated Brooke,” Usmagazine.com quoted Trope as telling TMZ.com.
Trope said Mueller was upset after Sheen filed divorce papers without giving her the heads up.
He also said that Sheen’s move was especially hurtful because Mueller had been supportive of the actor after his recent NYC hotel drama.
Sheen has cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ in his divorce papers and also sought joint legal and physical custody of their twins. (ANI)
