WASHINGTON - Daniel Truhitte - the man who played the young Nazi soldier Rolfe in ‘The Sound of Music’ is devastated that he was left out of the 45-year reunion of the complete cast.

The entire cast of the movie had come together in the same place for the first time in 45 years, on Oprah. The program featured all eight members of the Von Trapp family, plus Julie Andrews.

But Truhitte, who played Liesl Von Trapp’s love interest, and famously sang ‘Sixteen Going on Seventeen’ said he was not invited to the reunion.

“I was the male juvenile lead, a main part of the story … it’s beyond me,” TMZ.com quoted the actor as saying.

“Our show was a reunion of the von Trapp ‘family.’ Mr. Truhitte’s character was not part of that group,” replied a representative of the show. (ANI)
