Why Justin Timberlake is not into Facebooking
By ANISaturday, October 16, 2010
LONDON - Unlike others, Justin Timberlake is not hooked to Facebook as he has no motivation to become a regular user.
The ‘SexyBack’ singer plays Napster founder Sean Parker in ‘The Social Network,’ which stars Jesse Eisenberg as Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg.
“I don’t personally have a Facebook page, but I work with a group of people who do charity work through it - if I was on it, I’d probably feel like I was missing out on something I could be doing outside,” the Mirror quoted him as saying.
“Other than that, I don’t care about my friends’ feelings - they can just call me and tell me. I feel like a dinosaur because if I was on it, I wouldn’t know how to operate it,” he said.ustin also said there are pitfalls to putting your life online for public consumption.
“It might be comparable to constantly being on a first date. I’m sure there’s a girl in LA waking up right now and looking at pictures of a party that she might have gone to last night and I can guarantee you she’s not putting the less flattering pictures of herself on her Facebook page,” he continued.
“It affords the opportunity to always present the best version of yourself. But then that’s the question about social networking in general-is it genuine or does it create an opportunity to be more disingenuous?” he added. (ANI)
