Giraldo’s Family Turned Off Life Support Machine

Comedian GREG GIRALDO died after his family made the harrowing decision to turn his life support machine off, according to a U.S. report.
The comic passed away on Wednesday (29Sep10) five days after he was admitted to hospital following an accidental drug overdose.
Now details of his death have emerged - Giraldo reportedly slipped into a coma when he reached the medical facility.
His relatives were informed there would be no way to resuscitate him and decided they had no choice but to turn off his life support machine, reports TMZ.com.
A memorial is to be held for Giraldo on Friday (01Oct10) at the Governor’s Comedy Club in Levittown, New York, where he was due to perform.
