Vinayan Speaks About Ego Issues Of Mammootty

September 25, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Renowned Malayalam director Vinayan, who has been known for his sharp tongue, has opened his mouth against the Mollywood superstar Mammootty again.

Even though the director has worked with Mammootty in several films, their relation has remained bitter since a long time. They had issues with each other often regarding this or that. Now, Vinayan had openly said that Mammootty has some major ego issues.

Vinayan, who is the leader of the counter group of film technicians, has also commented that Mammootty does not deserve to be honored with the several awards, he has won in these years.

The director was speaking out all these while giving an interview. Vinayan was much tensed about the unprofessional interference of Mammootty in the promotion of his news film. He alleged that the megastar has instructed the Kairali TV channel not to include any songs of Vinayan’s latest release Yakshium Njanum. Mammootty is the Chairman of the channel. On this, Vinayan added that only very cheap individuals can do such things. The movie was released in the last month.

Vinayan directed Mammootty in 2000 in the movies Rakshasa Rajavu and Dada Sahib. Rakshasa Rajavu became a hit at the Box Office but managed to gather only average critic reviews. In Dada Sahib, Mammootty played double roles and the story of the movie was co-written by Vinayan.
