September 15, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): This is your one stop shop for the latest happenings in the town. The buzz. The release plans. The launches. The works. Yes, this is serious business and we will bring to you the most reliable information week after week. Have a dekko.
Music of ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ has caught on in a big way. After the chartbuster tracks of ‘Dabangg’, it is compositions by Vishal and Shekhar for ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ which are turning out to be quite popular amongst the youth.
An unlikely clash is in the offing with John Abraham’s light hearted romcom ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’ taking on Sanjay Dutt-Irrfan Khan-Kangna starrer thriller ‘Knock Out’ on 15th October. It would be interesting to see which of the film turns out to be a winner.
After a star studded September and October, the month of November looks rather free with only two films for confirmed for release - ‘Action Replayy’ and ‘Golmaal Returns’. There is no information whatsoever about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s plans for ‘Guzaarish’ while ‘Break Ke Baad’ will most likely get post poned as well.
Aamir Khan has confirmed that he is in talks with Yash Raj Films for a mega movie. Speculations are that the film in question would either be the third instalment of ‘Dhoom’ or a the one which is being helmed by Yash Chopra himself.
First half of 2010 should contribute towards finalising the Top-5 actors in Bollywood due to release of at least a film each starring Aamir Khan (Dhobhi Ghaat), Shah Rukh Khan (Ra. 1), Akshay Kumar (Patiala House, Thank You), Salman Khan (Ready), Ajay Devgn (Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji) and Hrithik Roshan (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara). Saif Ali Khan too would have his ‘Agent Vinod’ for competition.
Title of Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Short Term Shaadi’ may go through a change. Buzz is that first time director Shakun Batra is not too keen at continuing with the same title and hence there is some intense brainstorming happening at Dharma Productions to arrive at a replacement.
