Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) - It was almost unpredictable for all and none could ever guess how unexpected and exciting would be the first season of the reality show “Bachelor Pad”. The final was of two hours duration. As each minutes passed the fans got excited to see the winner of the first season of ‘Bachelor Pad’. It was live on Mon., 8PM ET on ABC. It was the last episode of the season for the reality show that brought conflict and competitiveness to a whole new level. In the finale, we had three couples remaining. But only one person could win the $250,000 grand prize.
The three remaining couples were: Kovacs and Elizabeth, Dave and Natalie, and Kiptyn and Tenley. Kovacs and Elizabeth were eliminated in the first hour of the show as they failed in a dance contest featuring some professionals of the ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
So Dave-Natalie was left to struggle it out with Kiptyn-Tenley during the remaining part of the show which was coming live. Only one couple would exist at the end and win the show. Most surprisingly and to the horror of everyone involved, the final voting was done by the participants who were already eliminated from the show. This pretty much brought the malicious factor up to 100 percent, as Peyton, Gia, Michelle, Jessie and everyone else took turns scolding the two couples.
Both couples gave speeches as to why they deserved the $250,000. After that the voting took place. Kiptyn and Tenley were excluded from the show as the other couple got more votes.
Then there was a twist that the grand prize of $250,000 would be based upon a choice that was given to Dave and Natalie. They had two options in their hand, one is “selfishness” and another is “sharing.” Dave and Natalie were sent into separate “deliberation rooms.” They have to make a choice whether they want to “share” or “keep” all the money. If one of participant chose “share” and the other chose “keep,” then the player who is shrewd would get the entire $250,000. But if both of them decided to “share,” then the prize would be split evenly. But the twist is that if they both went with the “keep” option, then neither one would bag the prize money. Then $250,000 would be divided among the seventeen rejected contestants.
This was interesting and shocking as well! Dave went first, and said that he would “share” the money with Natalie. Then, it was his partner’s turn. Natalie swallowed hastily, looked guilty, and asked if she could say something before disclosing her choice but she was rejected by Chris Harrison. When it came her turn, she decided to keep all the money for themselves, but in the end she decided to share it with her partner Dave, and each of them would get $125000.
